Why seek the complex?

'Personal Recollections', by John A Joyce, a classmate of Shakespeare, talks about the young days, the boys spent in Warwickshire. Drama troupes were a staple source of entertainment, and there always was a good audience. But, "they would cheer to the Latin more than the English rendition. The principle is that the least you know about a thing, the more you enjoy it"
Now I know, how Shakespearean English came into being.  When he wrote the masterpieces, he might have been having these thoughts in his mind. Generations will devote their time and energy to decipher his creations. And the more they toil, better his reputation.
And I also know, why there is lack of peace in human society everywhere. We actively seek the complex.
